Archery! Archery! The archery team captured the state championship this weekend in both the bullseye and 3D competitions. In the 3D competition, they beat 43 qualifying high schools for the championship. In the bullseye competition, they beat 50 qualifying teams for the championship. The team had several outstanding individual scores. In 3D, Natalie Jaeschke shot 282 out of 300 possible points, Adelynn Jaeschke shot 283, Christian Ahlheim 287, Kaleb Greiwe 288, James Kimbrell-Cave 291, and Wade Conner 297. In bullseye, Sam Pierce shot 279, Natalie Jaeschke 281, Kaleb Greiwe 281, Colton Olson 282, Adelynn Jaeschke 284, Briley VonTalge 285, Trenton Weber 285, Olivia Heine 286, Gavin Formann 286, Austin Morgan 289, James Kimbrell-Cave 293, and Wade Conner 296. Individual awards went to James Kimbrell-Cave and Wade Conner. James took 6th place in 3D out of 433 high school boys and 10th place in bullseye out of 758. Wade took first place in 3D and first place in Bullseye. Wade also won top overall male in both the 3D and bullseye competitions, beating 1,061 male archers in 3D and 2,168 male archers in bullseye.
