Just posted the accomplishments made by our JH Fall Sports. Regardless of records, I am always most proud of our team GPAs and academic success. These are on display in the gym foyer.

Our STUCO, under the direction of Mrs Hassell, does a great job of doing the little things that give our school a positive climate! Here are locker signs that they make for their classmates.

There will be a Special Board Meeting on Tuesday, November 10th at 6pm in the Auditorium for the purpose of requesting approval to pause our planned return to a 4-day week for grades K-6. The recommendation will be to maintain our current Hybrid schedule through the 1st semester and re-evaluate prior to January 19, 2021. The health data in our schools and community continue to trend in a more negative direction with some of the highest levels we have seen to date. There has been a significant increase in the number of cases locally that is impacting our schools, including both students and staff. Veteran's Day is fast approaching and here at Hillsboro Jr. High, we like to really celebrate our veterans and let them know that we appreciate their dedication and sacrifice. This year, due to Covid-19, we sadly cannot have our traditional Veterans Day Tribute Assembly. So we are going to celebrate our veterans in our community virtually instead. There are a couple of ways that you can add to our tribute. 1. If you know a veteran who would like to share some of their experiences with our school and what it means to be a veteran, then please click on the link to record a Fligrid video interview: https://flipgrid.com/01fb333b Guest Password: Veterans2020. More details are on the flyer attached. 2. We still want to thank our veterans for their sacrifice and for their service. Please help us say "Thank You" or send a personal tribute to a specific veteran by clicking on the link to record your tribute in a Flipgrid video interview: https://flipgrid.com/e8d0965d Guest Password: Thankyou2020. Look at the attached flyers for more information. If you have any questions or issues, please contact Mrs. Maerli maerli_kristen@hsdr3.org or call at (636)789-0000 ext. 2118. Please help us celebrate the veterans in our families and communities. What an exciting day for our kids. They actually had a somewhat normal JH activity as we hosted our 1st ever outdoor Homecoming Pep Assembly. We were able to have some fun, listen to the HS band, and recognize our teams! White Team needs to bring some school spirit tomorrow!

JH Blue Team, here are a couple reminders: Thursday is Jersey Day and our outdoor Pep Assembly. Be sure to bring a hoody or jacket, dress for the weather!

Just a little Homecoming Spirit in the form of Country vs Country Club. The kids and teachers had a good time. We need more kids to participate on Tuesday (Sweats/PJ Day).
