JH Football update
Our 1st game vs P’ville (9/6) will have 8th grade play first at 5:00 and then a shortened 7th grade game following.
Starting a new idea called “Student Senators” to promote leadership and positive peer relationships. Students assembled in groups today.

Worked on JH trails today w/alum Cody Russell. He is a great guy, support his business if you can. We are 80% done, come out for a walk/run!

Gas line repaired so cafeteria is 💯. They also introduced real 🍴and 🥄(instead of plastic sporks). Great for kids & 🌎

Interior walls are going up in class addition, while concrete floor was poured in PE addition today!
HJH-busy start to the year as new Ss get used to old lockers & rotating classes, as we all deal with construction 🚧 pains. Patience=key!!
The Board of Education is seeking patron and staff input in selecting the next superintendent for the Hillsboro R-III School District. An online survey which lists leadership qualities of a superintendent is provided. Community and staff persons can indicate the most desired leadership qualities they perceive the new superintendent should have for our district. The results of this survey will be used by the BOE and consultants in seeking and screening applicants as well as for the development of the interview content. Mr Moreno secured gravel for trails behind JH baseball field. This is 1st of 20 loads! Hoping people will get good use of 2 mile in woods.
JH UPDATE
They started pouring concrete sidewalks today on the west addition and delivered new lockers for the boys’ LR.
JH will be open for visiting Tuesday evening from 4-7pm. We had lots of smiling faces tonight when people saw all the work that is going on.
