JH VB will only play 1 home game vs Grandview on Thursday that will have a later start of 5:30. You must have a wristband to attend.

What a great two days handing out almost 100 t-shirts to our kids who qualified for our A-TEAM! They worked hard last year, making a 3.5GPA, having 95% attendance, and having no suspensions. (didn’t use any #s after COVID hit). Still need to get these to our VIRTUAL kids.

Our 1st JH home sporting event is this Thursday, 9/17. Our VB teams are hosting Herky with games beginning at 5:00. Spectators MUST have a wristband/ticket given to them by an athlete to attend. Masks are needed to enter and when social distancing is not possible.

Morgan S. sold a bunch of mums for our HJH Cheerleader fundraiser. Great job done by all the girls, selling 194 total! Can’t wait to get my two for our front porch.

JH Football Parents: Our 1st game at Cape Central on Thu, 9/17: 1) you will pay at the game, no tickets required ahead of time (HS games only) 2) Cape does require a mask to enter the stadium and anytime you cannot socially distance

Blue Team did an incredible job today. I can’t wait to see our White Team kiddos show up ready to learn how we do things at HJH. It’s been a long 6 months, glad to be back at it again. After 25 years, I still get fired up for that “1st Day” and now we get 2 in a row!

Is it possible to say I have never been more proud of our HJH family I work with after just one day of school? I just did! What an incredible effort by EVERYONE to rethink EVERYTHING about teaching and how we run a school in just a couple weeks. #HawkStrong

Strongly considering rearranging master schedule to have 4 lunch shifts vs 3. It would reduce our avg/shift from 190 (last year) to 65 (this year with hybrid). It takes a TON of details, but just an example of how we are trying to be safe AND effective! See you soon, Mr A
