Hillsboro R-III employs approximately 400 full and part-time employees and is responsible for the education of approximately 3,200 students.
The Human Resources Department of the Hillsboro R-III School District is dedicated to developing, implementing, and administering recruitment, selection, and other employment policies and procedures. Our mission is to attract and retain the most qualified employees to support our programs and services, enhancing the education of the children in our community.

Chief Operating Officer – District Finance and Human Resource Operations
Oversees daily operations of the HR, Payroll, and Business departments; coordination of certified MOU and University Partnership agreements, development and updates of employee handbooks; management of employee benefits and benefit programs; and maintenance of personnel data in collaboration with the Business Office, ensures district board, state and federal compliance with HR policies and programs, updates position descriptions.

Personnel Services Supervisor
Manages daily operations of Payroll and Benefits, assists with the Aesop and Attendance. Develops and implements the HR and Payroll SAS system, position budgeting, report writing, and salary/fringe benefit computation. Processes resignation and retirement with PEERS/PSRS, specializes in assisting employees with direct deposit, leave balances (sick, vacation, personal), short and long term disability, state and federal tax withholdings, child support, and garnishments. Ensures compliance with ESSA requirements and testing.

Responsible for the recruitment, utilization, development, and evaluation of certified staff, assists with licensing questions and DESE forms, approves certified and classified educational movement applications, and liaison to the Career Ladder Committee and student teacher placements. Coordinates certified professional development. Coordinates certified staffing and transfer requests and assists with summer school staffing.
